Meet Dana
Firefighter, small-business owner, Pine Hollow neighbor for 19 years.
Why I’m running
Last spring, a brush fire off Old Mill Road took our engine eleven minutes to reach because of a single lane of backed-up traffic. Nobody was hurt that day. But I’d spent 22 years watching District 4 add houses faster than it added roads, water lines or fire coverage, and I decided I’d rather help fix it than keep worrying about it.
Where I come from
I grew up in Millbrook, the oldest of four. My father drove a county road grader for thirty years, so I learned early which roads get fixed and which ones get promised. I joined Harbor County Fire Rescue at 21 and retired as a captain in 2024.
Today my husband Ray and I run Whitfield Hardware on Route 9. Our two kids went through Pine Hollow Elementary and Harbor Central High.
How I’ll serve
I read the packet before the meeting. I’ll post every vote I cast on this site with a plain-English reason. And I’ll keep holding coffee hours at the library after the election, not just before it.
