The early reservation

  • $99 deposit holds your launch slot. It's credited to your setup fee.
  • 15% off setup when you pay it in full by June 30, 2027.
  • Price locked. You pay today's published price even if our prices go up before you launch.
  • Domain secured now. We help you register your name before the 2028 rush.
  • Refundable. Decide not to run before we start building, and the deposit comes back in full.
  • Prepay hosting too if you like: 12 months of care for the price of 10.

The same terms apply to every candidate who reserves, from any party. Here's why that matters.

Why candidates start early

A local campaign team reviewing a website plan together on a laptop

Your name is the first thing to go

Once you tell a few people you're thinking about running, someone will check whether your name is available as a domain. Some of them register it. Your obvious domain costs about the same as a sandwich today and can cost you a lot more later. Our domain ideas tool shows the patterns that work.

Announcement day should have a link

Reporters, endorsers and neighbors look you up the moment they hear. A finished site that day says you're serious. A Facebook page alone says you're still deciding.

Filing season is crowded

In a presidential year, a lot of first-time candidates decide at the same time. Designers, printers and photographers all fill up. A reservation keeps your place.

Time to do it right

An early start leaves room for good photos, a bio that sounds like you, and issue pages you've had time to think through. Read when to launch your campaign website for a full backward timeline, or build your own with the launch timeline tool.

A word on rules before you file

Spending before you formally become a candidate is treated differently from state to state, and federal candidates have their own "testing the waters" rules. Before you pay a deposit, ask your state ethics commission or elections office whether it has to be reported, and from which account. For federal races, check with the FEC. We'll send an itemized receipt either way. This isn't legal advice.

Common questions

What happens to my $99 deposit?

It's credited in full toward your setup fee. If you decide not to run before we start work, we refund it in full.

Can I use campaign money for the deposit before I've filed?

That depends on your state's rules for spending before you file or form a committee. Ask your state ethics or elections office first. Many candidates pay a small deposit personally and document it.

When do you actually build my site?

When you tell us you're ready. Most early reservations launch a few weeks before announcing, so the site is live the day the news goes out.

Is the 15% off available to everyone?

Yes. Every candidate who pays setup in full by June 30, 2027 gets the same 15%. We don't offer private discounts.

What about 2027 municipal elections?

The same reservation works for any race. If your election is in 2027, the 15% applies when you pay setup in full by June 30, 2027 or 90 days before your launch, whichever comes first.
