How it works
You run for office. We handle the website. Here's exactly what happens, what we need from you, and how long each step takes.
Before the clock starts
Fill out the start form and we'll reply within one business day with a short checklist and an invoice. The 7 days begin once the setup invoice is paid, the interview is booked, and your photos are in.
What we need from you
- Your name as it will appear on the ballot, the office and district
- Your committee's exact name for the paid-for-by line
- Five to ten photos (we'll send a shot list)
- Your donation page link, or help choosing one (see recommended tools)
- Thirty minutes on the phone
The week
Kickoff and domain
A 15-minute call to confirm the office, election date and colors. We check domain options and register the one you choose in your name or your committee's name.
The interview
Thirty minutes, by phone. Why are you running? What would you fix first? Who in the district should hear from you? We record it (with your permission) so you sound like yourself on the page.
We write and build
Your bio and issue pages are written from the interview. Photos are cropped and compressed for fast loading. Donate, volunteer and email sign-up are connected to your own accounts.
Your review
You get a private preview link. Read every page on your phone and reply with changes in plain words. We make them the same day.
Final checks
Every link, button and form tested on phones and computers. Text size and contrast checked. Paid-for-by line confirmed against what you told us your state requires.
Launch
Your site goes live on your domain with a secure connection. We submit it to Google and hand you a launch-day post and image for Facebook.
After launch
On the monthly plan, you text or email changes and we make them, usually within one business day. New endorsement? Hearing moved? Debate scheduled? Send it over.
On Full Season, we also check in each month with new posts, hearing alerts and endorsements until Election Day.
What we never do
- Handle your donations. Money goes straight to your own processor.
- Use your volunteer or email list for anything, or share it with another campaign.
- Offer one candidate a deal we don't publish for everyone.
- Hold your site or domain hostage. You can leave with a full export any time.
Common questions
How much of my time does this take?
About two hours across the week: a short kickoff call, the 30-minute interview, gathering your photos and reading your pages before launch.
What if I don't have good photos?
Most candidates don't at first. We send a short shot list you can do with a phone and a friend in an afternoon, and we edit the results for the web.
Can I see the site before it goes live?
Yes. You get a private preview link on day five and nothing goes public until you approve it.
How do I ask for changes after launch?
Email or text us what you want changed in plain words. Small changes on the monthly plan are usually done within one business day.
